Refund Policy
Effective Date: June 25, 2026
Last Updated: June 25, 2026
1. Overview
This Refund Policy explains how payments, subscriptions, trials, and refunds work for Map Engage ("we", "our", "us"). It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service. By purchasing a paid plan or feature, you agree to this policy.
2. Payment Processing (Paddle)
Our order process and payments for paid features are handled by our reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and manages payments, billing, taxes, and refunds on our behalf. When you make a purchase, Paddle is the seller of record, and your payment is subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms and Conditions.
3. Free Trials
- Most paid features are available to evaluate during a free trial period before any charge is made.
- We do not require payment to start a trial unless explicitly stated. If a trial requires a payment method, your subscription begins automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel beforehand.
- You can cancel at any time during the trial to avoid being charged. Trials themselves are free and are not eligible for refunds.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
- Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (e.g., monthly or annually) until cancelled.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing cycle. You authorize Paddle to charge your payment method for each renewal.
- You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals; your access continues until the end of the current paid period.
5. Refunds
- 14-day refund window: You may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial paid purchase if you are not satisfied with the Service.
- Renewals: Charges for subscription renewals are generally non-refundable. We recommend cancelling before your renewal date if you do not wish to continue. In cases of an accidental or duplicate renewal charge, contact us and we will review your request in good faith.
- Trial conversions: If you forget to cancel and are charged at the end of a trial, you may request a refund within 14 days of that first charge.
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method via Paddle and may take several business days to appear, depending on your bank or card provider.
6. Statutory Consumer Rights
If you are a consumer in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction with statutory cancellation or refund rights, those rights apply in addition to this policy and are not affected by it. Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable rights you have under applicable law.
7. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund or ask a billing question, contact us at info@mapengage.com with your order details (the email used at checkout and your Paddle receipt or order number). You may also contact Paddle directly through paddle.net.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Changes do not apply retroactively to purchases made before they take effect.
